Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople with material handling and equipment operation
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris and setting up safety barriers
- Operate power tools and machinery under supervision (jackhammers, saws, etc.)
- Maintain clean and organized work areas following OSHA standards
- Read and interpret basic construction plans and blueprints
- Participate in all phases of construction from foundation to finishing
Qualifications
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Valid California Driver's License (required for equipment operation)
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction Certification preferred (training available)
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
