Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute building materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites.
- Site Preparation: Clean work areas, dig trenches, and prepare sites for construction projects under supervision.
- Assist Tradespeople: Provide support to carpenters, electricians, and masons by fetching tools and holding materials.
- Tool Operation: Operate basic construction tools and machinery (power drills, saws) after proper safety training.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site in accordance with OSHA regulations.
- Measurement & Layout: Assist in measuring and marking areas where construction will take place.
- Demolition: Assist in the safe dismantling of structures and removal of debris.
Qualifications
- Willingness to Learn: A strong desire to learn the trade and a positive attitude towards training.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for long periods, including lifting, bending, and standing.
- Basic Math Skills: Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic arithmetic.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and consistent work history.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Safety Conscious: Commitment to following safety protocols and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites.
