Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, leveling ground, and setting up temporary barriers.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport building materials, tools, and equipment to and from the site using hand trucks, forklifts, or heavy machinery.
- Tool Operation: Operate basic construction tools and power equipment under the supervision of a foreman.
- Assisting Trades: Provide support to skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) by fetching tools and materials as needed.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site by disposing of waste properly and sweeping up debris.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies while performing tasks.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and standing on feet for long hours.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, hardworking, and dependable.
- Communication: Basic ability to follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors.
- Teamwork: Willingness to work collaboratively with a team of construction professionals.
