Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and leveling ground.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport building materials to and from the job site using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Equipment Operation: Operate hand and power tools safely, including drills, saws, and compressors, under supervision.
- Assembly: Help assemble and disassemble scaffolding, barricades, and temporary structures.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Assistance: Provide general support to skilled tradespeople, such as carpenters, electricians, and masons, as needed.
- Documentation: Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the site supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or general labor is preferred but not required for enthusiastic applicants.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) and standing on concrete.
- Availability: Must be available to work part-time hours, including weekends and evenings as project demands require.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
- Safety Conscious: Strong commitment to workplace safety and following all safety protocols.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Reliability: Punctual and dependable attendance is mandatory.
