Responsibilities
- Site Operations: Perform general labor tasks including excavation, backfilling, and site preparation for residential and commercial builds.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute construction materials (lumber, concrete, bricks) using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic construction equipment under supervision and keep tools and machinery clean and organized.
- Assistance: Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with various on-site duties as needed.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and site-specific safety protocols at all times.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean and organized work area, removing debris and waste regularly.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or general labor is preferred but not required.
- Physical Requirements: Must be physically fit, able to lift 50+ lbs, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Driver's License: Valid North Carolina driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Attendance: Strong work ethic with a history of consistent, on-time attendance.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors effectively.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel to project sites in Raleigh and potentially Florida.
