Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Learn to interpret and follow blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical equipment and circuits.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations (OSHA).
- Set up job sites, organize tools and materials, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Handle basic electrical tasks such as pulling wire, installing outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures under supervision.
- Communicate effectively with team members and project managers regarding progress and potential issues.
Qualifications
- No Experience Required: We are looking for candidates eager to learn and willing to work hard.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation are required.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating electrical loads.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and at heights (if applicable).
