Job Summary
As an Electrician Trainee, you will support our field crew with various electrical projects, gaining hands-on experience in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This is the perfect opportunity to build a long-term career in a high-demand industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematic drawings.
- Install and connect wiring, fixtures, and electrical components (e.g., switches, outlets, transformers).
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical tools and equipment to ensure safety and longevity.
- Adhere strictly to all local, state, and National Electrical Code (NEC) safety regulations.
- Prepare job sites by clearing obstacles and laying out materials efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain work status and ensure satisfaction.
- Keep accurate records of materials used and hours worked on projects.
Qualifications
- Experience: No prior experience required; a high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and stand for extended periods.
- Stamina: Physical fitness to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work on ladders or scaffolding.
- License: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
- Skills: Basic math skills for measuring and calculating electrical loads.
- Attitude: Strong desire to learn and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
