Responsibilities
- Assist senior electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Perform routine inspections and testing of electrical equipment to ensure compliance with safety codes and regulations.
- Install wiring, conduits, and fixtures according to blueprints and project specifications.
- Ensure all work adheres to local and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Maintain a clean and organized job site, adhering to OSHA safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project requirements are met.
- Learn to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (Trade school or apprenticeship completion is a plus but not required).
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy materials, climb ladders, and work in various environments (including attics and crawl spaces).
- Strong desire to learn and a willingness to take direction from experienced mentors.
- Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
