Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople with site preparation, material handling, and cleanup tasks
- Operate basic hand tools and equipment under supervision (e.g., shovels, wheelbarrows, saws)
- Load/unload construction materials and ensure organized storage at job sites
- Maintain clean and safe work areas by removing debris and following safety protocols
- Follow instructions from site supervisors and adapt to changing project needs
- Participate in trenching, excavation support, and concrete finishing tasks as trained
- Complete daily equipment checks and report maintenance needs promptly
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience required – training provided
- Must possess physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Valid driver's license preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to work in various weather conditions (heat, humidity, rain)
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and willingness to follow OSHA guidelines
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Houston metro area
- Basic math skills for measuring materials and inventory tracking
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new construction techniques
