Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians: Perform routine tasks such as pulling wire, mounting outlets, and installing fixtures under supervision.
- Read and Interpret Blueprints: Understand basic electrical drawings and schematics to ensure accurate installation.
- Maintain Safety Standards: Adhere to OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a safe work environment for all personnel.
- Troubleshoot Systems: Help diagnose and resolve minor electrical issues in residential and commercial settings.
- Tool Maintenance: Keep tools and work areas clean, organized, and in good working condition.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients, answering questions and maintaining a positive company image.
- Material Handling: Lift, carry, and organize electrical materials and supplies as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; technical certification is a plus.
- Experience: No prior electrical experience required; however, a background in construction or manual labor is highly preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Driver's License: Valid Texas driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time shifts, including weekends and overtime as required.
- Technical Aptitude: Basic understanding of hand tools and willingness to learn new technologies.
