Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from the job site using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Site Assistance: Assist electricians, plumbers, carpenters, and other skilled trades with daily tasks and setups.
- Site Preparation: Perform general site preparation, including digging, sweeping, cleaning work areas, and setting up temporary fencing.
- Equipment Operation: Operate power tools and construction equipment (e.g., saws, drills, compressors) safely and according to guidelines.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA regulations and company safety protocols to maintain a secure and hazard-free work environment.
- Inventory Management: Perform daily inventory checks and organize materials to maximize workflow efficiency.
- Waste Management: Ensure proper disposal of construction debris and site cleanup at the end of each shift.
Qualifications
- Availability: Must be available to work Night Shifts (typically 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM) and rotating weekends.
- Physical Stamina: Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Driver's License: Valid Driverβs License and a clean driving record.
- Experience: Previous general labor or construction experience is preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training provided.
- Reliability: Proven track record of punctuality, dependability, and strong work ethic.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors.
- Resilience: Ability to work effectively in various weather conditions and noisy environments.
