Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites using hand trucks, dollies, and forklifts.
- Site Assistance: Assist skilled tradespeople (electricians, plumbers, carpenters) with various tasks, including measuring, cutting, and holding materials.
- Site Maintenance: Keep job sites clean, organized, and free of debris to ensure a safe working environment.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic construction equipment and power tools under supervision as needed.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols, including wearing required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Task Execution: Perform basic excavation, concrete pouring support, or framing duties as directed by the site supervisor.
Qualifications
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs), stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Driver's License: Valid Texas Driver’s License and a clean driving record are preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or general labor is a plus but not mandatory for enthusiastic applicants.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions clearly and communicate effectively with the team.
- Availability: Flexibility to work part-time hours, including weekends and evenings, as project demands require.
- Tools: Basic understanding of construction tools and safety gear is an advantage.
