Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, excavating, and setting up temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the site using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
- Equipment Support: Operate and maintain basic construction equipment and tools under supervision.
- General Labor: Perform a variety of manual tasks including mixing concrete, digging trenches, and assisting skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians).
- Cleaning & Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to all OSHA safety protocols and company guidelines.
- Site Observation: Monitor site activities to ensure work is completed according to blueprints and project specifications.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and willing to work a full-time schedule including overtime when needed.
- Communication: Basic verbal communication skills and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Experience: Prior experience in construction or general labor is a plus but not required for the right candidates.
- Tools: Willingness to provide personal safety gear (steel-toed boots, hard hat, safety glasses).
