Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the job site safely and efficiently.
- Site Preparation: Assist in site cleanup, debris removal, and preparing work areas for the crew.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic construction equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and power washers under supervision.
- Assistance: Help journeymen and foremen with tasks such as framing, drywall hanging, painting, and concrete pouring.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Measurement: Assist in measuring and cutting materials to ensure precise fit and finish.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Reliability: Strong work ethic with a commitment to arriving on time and completing tasks efficiently.
- Communication: Basic ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Driving: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred (for local transport of materials).
- Interest in Trade: A genuine interest in construction and a willingness to learn new skills.
- Availability: Ability to work full-time hours, including weekends and overtime when necessary.
