Responsibilities
- Assist senior electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Perform basic wiring tasks, including pulling wire, installing outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to understand project requirements.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Keep job sites clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding project status.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Basic understanding of mathematics and measurement.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy objects and work in various environments (climbing ladders, bending, standing for long periods).
- Strong desire to learn the trade and obtain Journeyman Electrician licensure.
- Willingness to work overtime, nights, and weekends as project demands require.
